I don’t want to have a DM PC anymore. /u/FoulOutlander42 DnD: Roll for Initiative!

I’m running a Morrowind campaign! My DM PC was Jiub, because technically he could fulfill the prophecy as well. Now we’re at a point in the campaign where my players are making very big decisions on how to to use their status as a potential Messiah—do they fight the BBEG, destroy the False Gods, wage war against the Empire? I don’t want my DM PC to make any decisions, so he hasn’t been so far. But I also don’t like playing a two dimensional character. I feel like Jiub (or my version of him, at least) wouldn’t want to wage war against the Empire like my PCs do—or, he at least wouldn’t know what the right thing to do is. He’s already expressed skepticism of an all out war, and asked if they were willing to sacrifice all these people’s lives (but I told my players after the session that I LOVE the idea of them starting a war). I think Jiub rather go back to fighting Cliffracers and living a simple life. He doesn’t like politics anymore, especially after being in the Commana Tong. But I don’t want to kill him, because he has more of his own lore to fulfill. I’m thinking about him just leaving a note and walking out. I feel like that would be in character, he doesn’t really like goodbyes. Just wanted to ask y’all if you would think that would be lame?
