I have worked in this company since graduation. I test games manually on various devices. I’m good at analyzing requirements, planning tests, and working with tools like JIRA and TestRail. I’ve done different types of testing like Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, and Adhoc for web and mobile apps on Android, ios, pc, ps5, xbox.
Due to personal reasons, I’ve had to quit my job. I’m currently serving my notice period. I want my next steps to focus on being able to get a better paying position in automation testing. I would like some suggestions on what my next steps should be given the fact that I don’t have any formal automation testing experience yet.
Some of the suggestions I’ve received so far are:
- Get ISTQB and Certified Professional Selenium Tester (CPST) certifications
- Complete some courses and projects
I don’t want to waste this time. In the meanwhile I’m also looking for jobs in manual software testing. But I’m looking for suggestions for better opportunities in automation testing. Thank you.
