SteamOS expands beyond steam /u/SubstantialEgg1568 Steam on Reddit

This morning in the steam launcher valve made an announcement that the Legion go s will be the first officially licensed 3rd party piece of tech running a native SteamOS.

Does anyone know if the ally X has support by steamOS or if it already just works out of the box?

I’ve been wanting to run steamOS on it but was waiting for more 3rd party hardware support, am I good to just send it as is?
