Spiritual Weapon /u/Character_Boot_3268 DnD: Roll for Initiative!

Hey I’m a DM and during our session I got into a dispute with my players since our cleric cast spiritual weapon and said they could attack twice since the description says “as a bonus action you may move the weapon and attack again” and said that that meant they could use their action to attack with the spiritual weapon and then use their bonus action to move it and attack again. I said that you can only use your bonus action to attack with spiritual weapon. So we ended up not agreeing but I would like know if y’all agree with the me or the player.

(I do know that it is casted using a bonus action they meant that their next turn they could attack twice)

Edit. for those that mentioned the “attack again” part of the spell, that is what it says in DNDBeyond’s description of the spell. And thank you to everyone that commented I was just trying to confirm so I know how to approach this in the future.
