Can you recommend some plain black neckties that are made of a thinner/softer material? /u/thrawoweyey /r/malefashionadvice

This dress shirt I have to wear for work has sort of a flimsy collar that doesn’t keep the tie covered very well. At the beginning of the day it looks ok but eventually the tie starts to show underneath the collar in the back.

I’ve noticed this problem is worse when the tie is made of a thicker material. I have this one silk tie that is super thin, soft, and velvety and it stays under the collar much better.

I’ve gone to a couple stores and ordered some silk ties online but haven’t found one yet that feels the same.
