Best beginning to midgame bowgun /u/Single-Handle1814 Monster Hunter: World

Im rather new at the game but i have been playing for a long time, just not continuously, i have been jumping from weapon to weapon and dont mind the grind at all, anyways i want to use a bowgun for a while light or heavy doesn’t matter, what is your recommendations. To further explain where I am in the game, my current main mission is heading to the everstream. As of now im using a light bowgun in the paolumu tree, the lumu blitz II, as much as possible i want to avoid using the defender weapons. I also have questions regarding best armor set for beginning but that’s for another time Btw i apologize for the bad grammar im bad at english
