Ancient eldritch horror enemy /u/Prestigious_Power999 DnD: Roll for Initiative!

So, I´m a newbie DM and in my campaign I created an ancient enemy horror, that haunts my players once in a while, (when I roll a 100 on an encounter) when they encounter it, they must succeed on a very HIGH wisdom saving throw or be possesed by it, after ecnountering it once they now are marked by it and it will haunt them occasionaly and attack their nearest ally or npc or anything, with all they got, go for the kill. Obviously it wont be easy to counter it and learn stuff about it, and they dont like how hard it is, but thats on PURPOSE. What do you think about this?
