Why do we need AI?
Best as I can tell…
AI’s prime objective is making human labor obsolete. It has so far produced nothing in the realm of art that isn’t majorly icky/unintelligible. Its search results are actual slop at the top of my page I have to scroll past because it is usually completely untrue. It is being used to tell monster machines who to kill and what to blow up. It gives landlords innovative ideas like “raise the rent again but this time even higher than before”. It uses far too much water, emits far too much carbon, and solves in my estimation, nothing other than the aforementioned problem of needing to pay real people for the work they do.
What has AI actually accomplished? What problems are unsolvable without it?
Please disclose in what way you financially benefit from AI before answering, thank you.
