I’ve never really been a big fan of WoW. I level through new expansions sometimes but lose interest soon after. The main reason for that is because end-game content seems to be locked behind having to have a full group to play with (please correct me if I’m wrong, I’m a noob.) I know there’s solo delves but I’ve heard the gear isn’t anywhere near as good as what you get from mythic+ and raids. I also know there’s group finder but I’d prefer to play with people I know and it’s hard getting anyone into WoW. I’ve had three friends try WoW and they didn’t like tab-targetting and they lost interest after seeing how many macros/addons you practically need to have a chance in high-level PvP.
Plunderstorm, on the other hand, is a completely different story. I was able to get one of my friends to try it and now we’re both hooked. I’m not even a big fan of battle royals but this has been so much fun. I love how you have to aim the abilities and how you can combo some of them. I also love how the auto attacks feel. They feel way more impactful than the somewhat passive auto attacks in current WoW lol. I kind of wish there was a version of WoW that played exactly like Plunderstorm. Dungeons, raids, delves, PvP arenas/battlegrounds, etc. Same classes and specs but a new set of Plunderstorm-like abilites for each. I know that will more than likely never happen but I’d definitely no-life it if it did
