Is it bad I’m not looking for some leadership position in my job hunt? /u/AlexisMarien CSCQ protests reddit

Basically been in the same role for 8 years as a regular ol software engineer in the same employer. Have received decent raises every year. I like my job but don’t live for it. I want to look for a new role someplace in my local area but essentially doing the same thing. What’s the best way to tell an interviewer I’m not looking to be their next Staff Engineer, and just want to provide support roles to someone who does. Give me a job and a deadline and you got it. I don’t want to give the wrong impression that I’m not interested in advancing my skills as is needed in software, I just don’t want to be the head of a project or people outside of mentoring new engineers when they first join the team or something.
