I have a problem with Baldur’s Gate 3, I used mods from the game search engine and they modified the data making it unplayable, I have already tried several methods to delete the files but I can’t fix it. I tried and reinstalled the game and it doesn’t work, I think it’s because the modified data is saved. Is there any way to install a game from Steam with the base files?
This is a Copy paste of my post with the problem:
I’ve been playing BG3 for 200 hours without any problems until today, I was starting my first attempt at a run in Honor mode, everything was going well until I got to the goblin camp and the Dror Ragzlin cinematic was activated and my game crashed. I had to manually turn off the PC because it wasn’t responding. After restarting it, every time I start the game everything goes well until I get to 100% load, it freezes and takes 5-10 minutes to load the interface. The interface goes up and the same thing happens again, I continue with my game and it has problems again when it reaches 100%. The game is unusable, everything is slow and it takes a long time to react to everything I do.
When they activated the installation of mods from their own launcher I installed some and I have runs with them but I already uninstalled them.
This is what I tried:
SteamAppscommonBaldurs Gate 3Data and delete modsettings.lsx
C:Users<UserName>AppDataLocalLarian StudiosBaldur’s Gate 3 with “view hidden files” enabled to delete mod files
%LocalAppData%Larian StudiosBaldur’s Gate 3Mods and delete the folder
None of this has worked and I don’t know what to do anymore thanks for the help.
