I really don’t know how to phrase the question any other way.
I work in the tech department of a non-tech company, and in the past year we’ve had 11 straight Indian hires from general developer up to senior director/VP roles, along with an Indian consultancy group throughout our division. They only hire other Indians.
Most of our applicant pools for any open positions across our entire department are Indian tech workers requiring some sort of of visa/work sponsorship.
From all the research I’ve done and in speaking with friends in other companies, similar things are happening.
Why is this happening and is there anything we can do about it? I feel like we’re being pushed out position by position over time until we literally are just completely offshored.
