Why do many games have 50+ achievements, but not tell you why/how you got the achievement? /u/ModestJicama Steam on Reddit

What is the point of it if I have no idea what I did in game to earn it?

Sometimes I just feel like these games are trying to hide that the achievements just come in the longer one plays.

IDK what else to think about achievements without descriptions.

Are they trying to prevent the 5 people looking to 100% the game from knowing how, rather than letting 99.99999% of people why they got an achievement for some reason?

I honestly don’t understand
