Fatalis Slayed! I did it!

January 14th 2025 is the day I managed to finally slay Fatalis solo! I can’t believe it, when I first fought him I literally thought it was completely impossible, I did the first section with the helper and then when the arena opened up I got absolutely slaughtered!

I checked reddit & YouTube for tips and tricks etc & good builds for long swords and after a lot of grinding & RNG praying for certain decos I actually managed to beat him!

The final blow was a beautiful Helm Breaker & it’s one of the most satisfying wins ever! I’ve clocked all the soulsborne games & love them but this just felt different maybe I’m too old but this was a huge uphill battle!

I have to say someone on this reddit said something that kept me going when I wanted to give up….’you only have to beat him once’ and it really stuck with me, if anyone is struggling remember that!

A few tips from an okay LS player not a pro!

-Make a build you feel comfortable with, I actually used stun resistance lvl 3 cause I was getting really annoyed by getting pushed over like a feather! -the environment (small pillars) can save you from his cone breathe I didn’t know this until yesterday & then I beat him. -I tried evasion mantle but I just couldn’t get used to it, I was more comfortable with rocksteady/temporal! -I started the hunt by using the cannons & barrel bomb technique, it helps. -You will get used to his moves, at first it feels impossible keep going you will learn his moves even if it’s a few it helps. -Dragon pods are a lifesaver 1 to prime & a second to flinch can stop any moves you find difficult to avoid! -Always keep in mind when you need to run for safety during his novas & after the second be ready to run towards him & to the left/right to avoid the cone. -health boost a must! -make sure you have the highest affinity you can critical eye, wEX, agitator, weapon affinity, also health augment is kind of crucial. -wall bangs are great -temp mantle had heavy artillery decos for use with the roaming ballista -Max potions on item wheel automatically creates new max potions if you have ingredients, you don’t need to have craft max potions. Played 700+ hours and just learnt that this week lol. -Don’t get greedy, I was being too greedy with my attacks but after slowing down more and picking better windows to attack it allowed me to do more damage & get hit less. -Also someone mentioned staying on the ground, I keep mounting for wall bangs but got hurt a lot, attacking his chest is huge! Don’t just try to go for the head.

There are many more tips but there’s a lot of vids out there.

Good luck hunters! Don’t let Fatalis win!
