I noticed that it’s much harder to earn money in Red Dead Online compared to story mode, and the prices are a lot higher. I decided to look into it and found that the prices are significantly different between the two. For example, in story mode, a gold ring sells for $5, but in Red Dead Online, it only sells for $1.15, not even enough to buy a can of beans, which costs $1.50.
Not only are the sell prices lower in Red Dead Online, but the prices of items like clothes and guns are also higher. For instance, a Schofield Revolver costs $84 in single-player mode, but in Red Dead Online, it’s priced at $192, more than double the cost in story mode. And that’s not to mention the low rewards for missions.
