Does it feel like the US is central to the world in other countries? /u/Some-Air1274 No such thing as stupid questions

I’m from the UK (Northern Ireland), our news constantly covers the US in several dimensions. Of course other countries are discussed but the US is almost on our news on a permanent basis.

I’m not even American but I feel that I know quite a bit about US politics and politicians.

When online almost every poster seems to be American, alongside every YouTuber.

Is this the case for other countries or is it a bit different because English isn’t your native language?
