My wife and I have had a relatively good sex life. However, due to normal reasons, things have slowed down over the years.
One thing that I have noticed of late that has contributed to slowing this down even more is my wife’s literal negative dirty talk skills. For example, a common scenario is that we start making out and I initiate dirty talk to take things further, but the best she respond with is sentimental stuff like “We are so lucky to be together,” or “I can’t wait to raise our family with you.”
She might have always had pretty crappy dirty talk but I believe in the past we might have been getting down to business right away or I just had more ability to push forward come hell out high water. However, the past couple of times this has happened, I completely lost my mojo and couldn’t help but wrap things up at making out.
What can I do in this situation? On one hand, I don’t want to appear unappreciative by telling her how her loving sentiments are a real buzzkill, but on the other hand, I can’t be the only one who doesn’t want to hear basically our wedding vows before sex, right? I feel I always take the initiative to keep things going in the bedroom by buying sex toys, introducing fantasies, etc. so unfortunately I feel a bit resentful that my wife can’t even do something as basic as dirty talk adequately.
