I read lots of articles about how Steam is killing the Steamdecks greatest features/perks by releasing the SteamOS widely but they all seem to be missing the brilliance behind it.
It isn’t just an OS, it is a storefront that puts them front in center on people’s handheld devices. This is something the other game stores can’t do and won’t be able to compete with and is by far the smartest thing they could have done. Flood the market with your store, killing the competition.
Curious on everyone’s thoughts, what is something bad that can come from this? Business wise, I think it is the smartest move they could make right now, especially on a new and growing/exploding market.
