My girlfriend wants us to try cnc/free use and I’m pretty excited about it. At first, I thought it was a good idea, but as I thought more about it, I realized it’s due to her trauma (she’s a rape victim). She says she agrees with me, but still wants to do it. Now i ask myself a lot of questions.

1) Isn’t it unhealthy to reproduce her worst trauma?

2) Isn’t it unconsciously too psychologically violent for her?

3) Is doing this more likely to make her feel better or to make her feel worse?

I’d like her to get over these urges, because it means she’s still very much affected by her trauma but I’ll satisfy them if I’m sure it won’t have a negative impact on her.
