Is fainting rare for “normal” people? /u/Proofwritten No such thing as stupid questions

Hi
As part of getting my doctor’s notice of health for my upcoming driver’s license application, i had to answer yes/no to whether i had fainted within the last 5 years. This came as a shock to me, because i couldn’t imagine anyone who hasn’t fainted within the last 5 years. Like, i’ve fainted twice in the last 6 months!

Granted, i forget to eat, have anxiety and have naturally low blood flow (even suspecting i have POTS but the doctors really don’t agree), i’m bound to faint more than the average person but i haven’t felt like i faint an insane amount compared to the average person. Is it truly normal to have more than 5 years between fainting? I don’t think i’ve gone a year without accidentally losing consciousness cause i stood up too fast

Edit: I am absolutely flabbergasted at the lack of fainting in this thread
