In my current campaign I play a bard (college of lore), he has never killed any being besides an intellect devourer last session. We just reached level 6 which means i get “Additional magical secrets” aka the power to learn any spells/cantrips at spell level 3 or below.
Therefor I’m not that interested in getting an aggressive spell, since it wouldn’t align that well with his character. The current spell he has are:
Prestidigation
Starry wisp
Viscous mockery
Charm person
Cure wounds
Disguise self
Cloud of strings (homebrew cloud of daggers)
Detect thoughts
Enhance ability
Hold person
Suggestion
I think one of the spells I’ll add is counterspell but im unsure what other spell would help my party the most.
Some information about my party:
My party consists of 2 level 6 fighters (S and K) and my bard, the fighters both have decent armor and hp. (S: AC16 Hp 52) (K:AC19 Hp 44)
The party are okay with my character being more support based, and are happy to take the front in the battles and let me stay behind.
I dont mind any spells that are more for silly or creative uses but I’d like some help on what spell to choose
TL;DR: What’s a good spell to learn at lvl 6 when playing a support character (bard)?
