Adding side adjusters to trousers /u/Tinniiiiiitus /r/malefashionadvice

As I’m pushing 30 I’ve started to notice that my waistline keeps getting harder and harder to stay the same throughout the year… I put my holiday weight on somewhere around November and it won’t come off until about April. Here’s my problem. A lot of my trousers are tailored to my itty-bitty summer-waist which makes them unwearable for a big chunk of the year. I’m thinking that one solution to this is to somehow add side adjusters to my trousers and I was wondering if any of you have experience doing this? A belt won’t do it since I only like belts for its aesthetic and not its utilitarian purpose (any Mike Featherstone fans here maybe?). Appreciate all the help🏄
