How are you able to sleep with your dogs? /u/Heavy-Disaster-7920 No such thing as stupid questions

I love my new dog I just adopted, and have always seen people on tv and social media cuddling with and sleeping with their dogs. I’ve always wanted to have a cuddly companion with me at night, but one thing I realized pretty quickly is that it’s kind of hard to get over mentally. Dogs stink. Yes I bathe my dog, but within a couple days, the “dog smell” returns and I’d hate to smell that on my bed and have the smell seep into my mattress. My dog also doesn’t enjoy baths, and it’s pretty time consuming to be doing every 2-3 days.Secondly, my dog walks all over the floors, and outdoors, at the park, in the backyard, everywhere. Does everyone just wash their dogs paws every time they go into the bed? Should I be doing that? This is a genuine question and in no way am I trying to judge people who do that, I just want to know so that I can do it too possibly in the future.

EDIT: I Do NOT bathe my dog every 2-3 days yall… I just said that would be the case if I were to let my dog sleep with me which I don’t think I am.

EDIT 2: For those asking what I feed my dog, I go to the butcher and get her different cuts of beef and whole raw chicken that I cut up and give her in pieces (with bone). I give her dried fish as a topper on most meals, or salmon oil. She also has a whole egg and she also occasionally will have goat meat.
