I posted this in r/relationship_advice but someone said here would be better.
My boyfriend 25M and I 24F have been dating for 4 years. He live about an hour and a half away so we only see each other once or twice a month. We usually have sex every time we see each other and I’ve never turned him down for sex for any reason, even on my period. He’s never expressed any problem with our sex life but I know he’s been wanting anal and I don’t. There were a few times we had period sex and he said it was too messy. I agreed and we didn’t further discussed it.
The problem is our last few dates have landed on my period. He once again said before our date that it is too messy and I was just like okay. What is confusing me is he will try to turn me on during our date, then when I reciprocate, he would reject me because it’s too messy. When this happens, I stop and go back to cuddling but he would make advances at me again. This cycle repeats for a few hours until I’m like what the fuck and he then tell me to beg and he will consider it… I don’t beg because it feels like he’s dangling sex above my head for some reason. If he was truly uncomfortable having period sex then why did he ask me to beg? It felt like a power trip to me because I am okay with not having sex if he doesn’t want to during my period but he keeps leading me on.
So after posting this in the other thread, a lot of people suggested he maybe has a kink so I approached him and asked if it was and he outright said no multiple times. He does not think it’s a kink and he doesn’t know why he does it. He said he just wanted me really bad but he knew he had to hold himself back because he wasn’t comfortable with period sex. For me, I like period sex and I don’t think the clean up is that bad so I am having a hard time seeing this from his perspective. I brought up how it felt like a power trip move after he said it’s not his kink and he said it was not his intention and got upset at me for thinking “so little” of him. He said he won’t do it again so I feel like we should move on but the whole thing rubbed me in the wrong away.
