Why did Jim go to Raskin Design (Koi Pond) when David states Michael’s co-manager position would concentrate on big picture and clients? /u/snotick People Person’s Paper People

Was watching this episode last night and I remember when David Wallace pitched the idea to Jim and Michael:

“We were thinking of having two branch managers in Scranton. Both of you guys working as co-managers. Jim would handle the day to day and Michael you would focus on clients and big picture stuff.”
