So I have this campaign with a good villian in my opinion but he’s just missing some reason to do what he does. So I will give some context so he has this weird obsession over beholders and really looks up to them and worships them so a long time ago he started a civilization which is basicly a cult to worship beholders and find to key to the beholder realm to unleash them in the world. But another weird thing about him he starts these massive civilizations to concur land and search for a key to the beholder realm but any time he notices a flaw in these civilizations he just destroys them. Oh yeah forgot to mention he has a spell where he doesn’t age and he has been starting and ending these civilizations for centuries. Yeah so that’s the backstory but I just don’t find a reason why he would do all that stuff or maybe something that happened a long time ago to him or something all help is useful.(I know I should have thought of this earlier but it’s kinda to late now.) So please help me.
