For those who are experiencing infinite loading of user data when launching Steam, here’s a possible solution. /u/hassi44 Steam on Reddit

For a few years now, Steam has had an account syncing issue where it loads user data either for 10 solid minutes before managing to open or simply loads the user data indefinitely and never opens.

Some people have found solutions in deleting Valorant or moving the userdata folder out of the Steam bin and then moving it back. However, I’ve just found that the reason my user data takes so long to load is because I have multiple HDD’s and all of them have SteamLibrary folders on them. It just so happens that one of my HDD’s is slowly malfunctioning and it takes it forever to respond, so disconnecting it from the PC made Steam launch and load user data immediately.

TL;DR Steam user data load too long. Problem with disk drive. I fix by removing problem disk drive. Orc happy now.
