Why don’t washing machines have a ‘stop whatever you’re doing and just open the door’ setting? /u/taleoftales No such thing as stupid questions

At this point I’ve no idea why I’m not allowed to have my clothes back but the machine has decided against it even after completing the cycle. I’m travelling in less than 48 hours and kinda think I should still at least be able to access my clothes even if the machine has crapped out
