hi everyone. in the past couple of months i have ended up developing a yeast infection now three times. i am in a committed relationship with my boyfriend. before it gets brought up, no he is not cheating on me. i have full trust in him and i can confidently say i know he is not sleeping with someone else, neither am i. at a point in our relationship we made the stupid decision of having a threesome with a girl friend whom ended up giving us chlamydia. my boyfriend and i both went and got treated but had both developed yeast infections as well. we both got treated, all was well until i caught it again, again got treated and now i have it again. we figure now that he has one still and is asymptomatic which is causing us to just pass this back and forth. neither of us have a primary care provider that we see so we’re left with the option of urgent care which racks up 100s in hospital debt here OR waiting months to get into a primary care provider. i’m trying to figure out if there is a better, more affordable way my boyfriend and i can speak to someone or be prescribed the meds we need. i know this probably isn’t the best subreddit for this and i apologize. i tried the women’s health subreddit and didn’t get much advice other than to use monistat. i’ve heard some really terrible things about monistat and i don’t think im willing to try that. i would rather have oral antibiotics for this. as well as the fact im not sure if there a monistat treatment for men?? worst case scenario i will go to my local urgent care and pay the hospital bills, but if ANYONE has some advice or ideas please comment! thank you reddit!!! (sorry for the dramatic title i was trying to catch your attention lol)
