Forcecage on a moving ship /u/ThisWasMe7 DnD: Roll for Initiative!

Let’s say you cast forcecage to imprison someone on the deck of moving ship.

Does the forcecage move with the ship or stay in place?

If it stays in place, what happens when the ship moves? What if a mast or the gunwales of the ship hit the cage? Is the floor of the cage embedded in the deck, tearing it up when it moves?

The simplest decision would be that it moves with the ship, but that doesn’t seem to be RAW.
