Elastic Co “prestige” /u/nitekillerz CSCQ protests reddit

I might have an opportunity to work for Elastic as a SWE. I’m currently employed with 2 years exp at another company that is a F500 mid size but their market is niche and not a lot of people know their name. The Elastic has slightly higher pay, a lot better benefits by far and promises “full remote with a company that has always been remote”. My current company is remote but I was grandfather in, their current policy is hybrid in a location that does not work for me. The tech stack there is great and full stack. No complaints.

I’m looking for higher pay and better future prospects so I’m wondering if Elastic carries that weight for you guys that might justify the change. Worried about being leaving a company I’m known as a “good employee” to one that I would be the newest member. This would be my first job change since my start in CS.
