Dynamic Weather would be a great expansion feature.

World of Warcraft has come a long way over the years, but one thing I think could really elevate the immersion is dynamic weather.

We know they have phasing technology—they’ve used it for questlines, events, and etc. Why not use that to make weather a dynamic part of the world? We already see the zone wide phasing tech with Beledar in Hallowfall.

Imagine summertime in Dun Morogh or winter in Silvermoon. Zones that could have weather effect should.

Heavy Storms: Heavy rain and lightning making everything feel eerie. Strong gusts slowing movement or even altering your trajectory when flying.

Snowstorms: Visibility dropping as you trudge through thick snowfall.

Sandstorms: Winds whipping up, obscuring your vision and making deserts feel harsh and unforgiving.

Heatwaves in Durota or the Barrens: The environment shimmering under the blazing sun.

They could even make it impact gameplay a little, like reducing visibility in PvP during fog or limiting flying mounts in areas with hogh winds. Or how about region-specific bonuses? For example, certain fishing nodes only appear during rain, or rare mobs show up when it snows.

Having an evergreen weather system impact the world would be awesome imo. Maybe it’s a future feature annoucement.
