I’ve been wanting to buy the 2014 Monster Manual to complete with the Player Handbook and Dungeon Master’s guide I already have, but Amazon only sells the 2024 version.
I already pre-ordered the 2024 MM, but now I am wondering if it would be bad practice to use it with the 2014 rules?
I read somewhere that some monsters will be stronger to account for the changes in the PHB, so I’m worried I’d unbalance my campaign’s battles. I also read that the 2014 MM is super outdated anyways, so it may still be worth updating.
Should I cancel the pre-order for the 2024 MM and find the 2014 in another shop, or do you guys think it should be fine?
