Completely unable to move Half Life 2 to another drive /u/wiggibow Steam on Reddit

So I’ve done some digging and found that this is a common issue, but the common solution (simply uninstall everything Source related) does not seem to be working for me. I have uninstalled and deleted the folders of every single Source game I have in my library, Portal 1 & 2, Black Mesa, Left 4 Dead, TF2, etc. etc. just as other posts have suggested, but still Steam will not let me choose an install location for Half Life 2.

The strangest part is even after deleting the Half Life 2 folder in steamapps, empty recycling bin and all, the folder will be automatically recreated the moment I launch Steam; every time. None of the other Source games I have removed reappear like this, just HL2. I have checked over and over and I am positive that no other Source-using games exist anywhere on my machine, I am so beyond confused here.

Any ideas?
