As a groom, what shoes would you wear with a navy suit? Event details within… /u/sachin571 /r/malefashionadvice

Shoe choices are:

  • Plain toe balmoral
  • Cap toe balmoral
  • Perforated cap toe balmoral
  • Wingtip balmoral
  • Plain/cap/perf/wingtip blucher/derby
  • (for each of the above) Dark brown vs oxblood/burgundy vs black

Considerations:

  • Event is in an Asian country where style rules aren’t followed as rigorously. Thus, while the dress code is “formal” out here it means some will wear a button up shirt with chinos and loafers. Some are in ethnic formal attire. Nevertheless I’d like to maintain some modicum of western formality (no zerograand please). I *might not wear a tie, still TBD.
  • Evening event
  • Bride is wearing ethnic formal
  • My suit will be classic navy worsted wool with neapolitan shoulders and high-rise trousers
  • I’d like to keep these shoes for future events/business/interviews

Thanks!
