Alter self vs Scrying /u/Magmaguard DnD: Roll for Initiative!

Last session one of my players tried to infiltrate a criminal organization by using alter self to disguise himself. He didn’t know the password to enter and got pissed so he tried to set the building on fire… in which he succeeded (with a lot of luck). Obviously the criminal organization is going to want revenge but they have nothing but a false description from their guards.

So I’m wondering, does Scrying work if all they have is a false description? It says that you would get a +5 bonus to your save if the caster has only heard of you. How would you rule it? Maybe an even higher bonus to the save? Are there other ways they could get on his tracks?
