This is a question I’ve continually had as someone who’s both pro-gun and pro-gun control. Nobody is out here saying that having to take classes and be tested before being allowed to drive a car is a bad thing? Or that having your car towed or license revoked if you put your car in the wrong spot or use it dangerously? We all understand that using a car improperly can be very dangerous to yourself and others so we all accept the regulations that apply to them.
Why is it that wanting similar legal safety precautions in regards to guns make so many people think that you just want all guns to be taken away from everyone?
As someone who’s hoping to own a gun in the future, i know I sure would feel a lot more comfortable if the process of getting the gun involved a certain degree of difficulty- mandatory educational classes or testing, rules in regards to storage and usage, etc. I would feel concerned if it was super easy to get something that could very easily kill me or someone else.
Am I misunderstanding something somewhere or???
