I have seen an L6 tech role in the US I am completely confident I can get. Specifically I would be transferring from another L6 tech role not in the US.
Because of the international relocation I have no idea what the total comp would be. I only know the cash component tops out at $247k.
I assume this includes the 10% extra for VHCOL locations (SF/NY), but in Seattle it would be more like $220k. Then assume I am not “top of the band” material and estimate $190k. But what about the RSU ratio?
They won’t tell me until I actually go through the process of triggering the relocation process and getting a contract generated. But I don’t want to do that to find out that I wouldn’t be better off than just staying where I am.
So my question is, assuming cash is $190k, is there any way to estimate how many RSUs? Is the ratio 50:50? 60:40?
Thanks
