Current junior engineer, I like what I do enough to keep me going for many years I think. It’s just that my personality naturally makes me despise most corporate environments, however I’m pretty good at ignoring those feelings hence I think I can easily do this career for another 10-15 years.
Currently, I feel the only light at the end of the tunnel is that one day I could have enough money to comfortably be a HS teacher for either CS or math.
So I wanted to hear of anybody’s experience making this kind of transition and what your feelings were pre and post-transition?
