They’d probably be too focused on being accused and trying to defend themselves, that they wouldn’t focus on acting calm.
Despite this, people are always being told that their defensiveness is proof that they’re lying.
I know there’s the fact that people who are lying get defensive too and so it might be hard to separate the two, but I can’t see the majority of people who are innocent and being accused being calm in a situation like this, and I don’t know why people think they would be.
