When I was 19 (April -23) I got a vaginal tear (6 o clock), pretty big (1-1,5cm) and extremely painful, from a rape. After that I had sex 3 months after – tore again in the exact same place. I then didn’t have sex until Sept -24, but tore again and have since torn every time I’ve had sex. Most times I can’t have sex because it hurts to much. And if I do, I have to wait around 6 weeks for it to heal (it heals well, it’s just big and pretty deep so it takes time).
Each time I let the tear heal for ~6 weeks but it keeps coming back. I feel hopeless.
I’m not on any birth control (haven’t been since 2022). • I use plenty of lube. • Iuse white Vaseline on it morning, evening, after showering and before sex. • I’ve tried dilators, sometimes I tear and sometimes it’s fine with them. • I’m negative for herpes and yeast infection. • I don’t use soap or any perfumes down there.
I have an appointment for a biopsy for Lichen (but I don’t have any other symptoms for it…) and I’m scared it will create a second scar that will tear open in the future…
I’ve read that many women experience similar tears. But does anyone have a solution? Has anyone figured out what was causing it? 🙁
