Stinging sensation at the top of the penis (18M) /u/QuackChan Sex

I need some tips on what to do. About 4 days ago I washed my penis like I regularly do with soap this has never been an issue to me and never had any pain when doing so. I also regularly masturbate and rarely use lotion. Anyways after I showered I peed like normal no stinging. I strained a bit for the last bit of urine to come out and out of nowhere I got this minor burning sensation when peeing. This is normal for me and usually happens when I strain for the last urine to come out because it’s likely a bit of concentrated urine.

When I walked out the bathroom I felt this slight burning or stinging right at the inside of the tip and also the outside of the tip. I panicked and opened up my tip to see if there was any pubic hair that got in the tip because that usually happens but I found nothing. I checked carefully with a flashlight found nothing. So I thought nothing of it I thought it’s just minor irritation and it would probably go away on it’s own the day after.

When I woke up the next morning I still had this irritation at the tip of the penis and it didn’t go away. So I opened the tip once again to see what’s going on, once again nothing. The whole day I felt minor stings and burns especially when I moved. When laying down the sting is not there but I feel a slight burn not any major but it’s still annoying.

One more day passes and the pain is still there. I open the tip once again because surely it has to be some sort of inflammation but nothing. The inside of the tip looks normal and I find nothing. So maybe I thought this irritation doesn’t improve because I keep touching and opening the tip.

So yesterday I didn’t touch the tip at all. I called the doctor and they told me it’s very likely irritation I have. Today I woke up and I still have the irritation. It’s making me go crazy and reading Reddit posts makes me go crazy because people sit and comment about permanent nerve damage and that they go and have pain for months and years and nothing helps so I panic. I don’t know what to do. How long does it take to heal? Will it heal on it’s own? I don’t have any foreskin fyi. It doesn’t sting or burn when I pee either. The sharp pain seems to come when my penis touches my underwear when walking. When laying down and being still the pain is minor but still noticeable but not any sharp pain as when I’m walking. Please tell me it’s nothing serious because some reddit posts make me super worried.
