Me and my brother want to start using Steam Family as we used to share this account when we had the same PC but now that we live separately, we thought about one of us making a new account.
However since he has separately installed games on his PC along with save files, we were wondering – if he makes a new account, joins the Steam Family, logs into Steam on his PC – will it still recognize the games he has installed without the need to re-download them?
Same question about save files, we have Steam Cloud turned off as to not overwrite out save files but will Steam not overwrite them since it’s technically a “new” account?
