I think my boyfriend’s (M19) recent weight gain is causing ED? /u/RealPicture3830 Sex

Hi all! My boyfriend (M19) and I (F18) have been together a solid 7 months now. Our relationship is really good!! The only problem – sex. When we started having sex, everything was perfectly fine and we were both pleased. But, over the past two ish months, my boyfriend has gained probably around 30lbs.

He was already a big guy to begin with, so the weight gain is definitely noticeable. I don’t mind in an attractive sense, I still think he’s super handsome and I’ve always liked big guys. But, since gaining the weight he’s had issues keeping it up. Usually he can get it up, but goes soft in the middle of sex. Everytime he assures me it’s not my fault and although he hasn’t seen a doctor it seems like he’s dealing with erectile dysfunction. This is the first time any sort of ED “episode” per se has happened to him.

We’re starting a diet together and I was wondering will losing weight help? I honestly am clueless when it comes to erectile issues and I know asking questions embarrasses him so I’d love some info from people that have dealt with similar issues and how they fixed/improved it. Thanks!
