I’ve noticed a lot of people in online spaces claiming that the earth is flat. While I don’t doubt that there are a few lunatics out there with the genuine belief that the earth is flat, I think most of these people are all playing into an elaborate joke or are just trying to ragebait people.
Obviously its so easy to prove the earth is round but they don’t want to hear out any evidence
Another thing I don’t underatand is their reasoning. They are quick to hit you with the “the government doesn’t want you to know” But they never tell you why. How would the government benefit from me thinking the earth is a different shape than it actually is?
Genuinely curious
