Any way to make a button chord, but with a joystick direction rather than a button? /u/VitaminB36 Steam on Reddit

Random question: trying to create a controller config where one of the face buttons does two different things, depending on whether the left joystick is pointed downwards or not. I’m playing RE7 and I wanna make the rightmost face button do a quick turn when the left stick is angled downward, and do a crouch anytime else.

I’ve been poking around with button chords, but it seems like it’s limited to just using other buttons as the activator. Is there a way to use joystick directional movement to accomplish this? Or am I out of luck?
