Why does only country music have noticeable accents? /u/Own_Landscape_8646 No such thing as stupid questions

It’s not like musicians from the South only ever make country music. When ppl make virtually any other music genre and have a southern accent, you can’t really hear it when they sing. But mainstream country singers have super obvious twangs in their voices. Why?
