I’d like to see Delves have more experimental gameplay /u/Artunias World of Warcraft

What I mean by this is things like the trap rooms in Torghast. The Kirin Tor flying quests from Legion. Some platforming sections. If you fall on any of these the rock climbing mini-game from DF could kick-in to give you a chance to save yourself. Have the power-ups you can find be WAY more interesting like we saw in Torghast, and have them show up a bit more often than these boring flame shields or whatever we have now. I’m sure there are others, there just needs to be more stuff going on!

Now don’t get me wrong you still need to fight sometimes, and there should always be a decent boss encounter at the end. But I find delves so tiring at the moment that essentially everything is just cast bar explosions and/or auto attack insanity.

There are variety in the “stories” I guess? But the gameplay essentially comes down to the same thing in every single Delve, and to be honest I don’t even really pay attention to whatever story is going on lol. For a first go, I don’t think Delves are bad or anything. I simply feel like there is so much more they can do with them drawing on past ideas to make them more interesting and to offer something different than getting auto attacked for half my health bar every other pack.
