I really want to use greatsword but maybe it’s not for me. /u/Meinya_Jighs Monster Hunter: World

First off, PC player, currently on early Iceborne, and second I am a bow user and switching to greatsword is obviously a huge leap, the problem that I have with it is that my sword seems to always gets stuck at the ground, while I watching tutorials on how to use greatsword I notice that their sword doesn’t get stuck at the ground, they roll to prevent but I can’t seem to roll even tho my stamina is half full. They always seems to attack a bit faster than what I am experiencing and maybe they have the focus skill? But the builds I’ve seen doesn’t seem to have that or its in the endgame build. The tackle attack is also so awkward to use, I’m charging then I try to do tackle but the charge attack goes through anyways so I get flown off back to Astera. I also can’t seem to find any modern guides that has PC controls, tbf I heard it’s a console game.

I really want to use greatsword but maybe it’s not for me as I like to be fast if not average speed. I was once a hunting horn user so I thought greatsword would be a good alternative to what I am familiar with before but I feel greatsword is much slower than hunting horn.

So overall, great weapon. Feels good when it hits but I’m gonna have to switch to another weapon if I don’t want to get frustrated every fight.
