Hey CS family. I won’t lie to you and say it doesn’t sting or hurt, it definitely does.
How should I move forward mentally and with my work after being passed over for a promotion that I was told by my hiring manager was mine…
I was that worker – volunteered for every additional task, worked OT, helped everyone I could with ticket fixes etc, participated in our daily meetings more than others.
I’m finding it difficult to care about my work or my performance now especially considering we are back in office fully 5x a week.
Any tips, advice, or tough love would really be helpful to me right now. I feel like I failed myself and I’m already 27 years old without a promotion. -_-
